I am freaking out right now. My 1 1/2 yr old chihuahua all of a sudden has a swollen white part in the?
inside corner of his eye. He is very aggressive when I try to even take a look. He was fine like 30 min. ago and then I looked at him and noticed this. I orig. thought it was something in his eye but it is actually his eye is swollen. Does anyone know what could be wrong? Its sunday and the vet is not open. So I do have to wait to see our vet until tomorrow.
Nothing to do with a dog's eyes can wait until morning - call your vet's office, and see what they say.
ANY decent vet should always have something or someone answering the phone, with instructions on what to do when they are closed. If yours doesn't, look up another vet and find out where you can take your dog.
Crate your dog for now, so at least he is contained and won't reinjure himself - but if he has something in his eye, or has scratched it, the injury could be getting worse. Whatever it is, it's an emergency, and you need to find someplace that's open. NOW...just keep looking.
