Ghillie Doll
My daughter has her little ghillie doll. She got this idea from her father who serves in the military and whenever he comes home, he plays with Deanna; one of her favorite games is wearing her dad's ghillie suit and hide. As you might not know, a ghillie suit is a type of a camouflage used by the military in order to blend in in the surrounding environment. They come in different colors, from pale white made for the snow to light brown made for desert and dark green made for the woods. The ones with colors are usually 3D, which allows the sniper to coordinate with the background.
They also make the ghillie suits for kids, so my husband and I might as well purchase one for Deanna. As i checked, the suits are "kids-approved" which basically means they are made of good quality fabrics in a way that a child won't hurt himself while wearing it. The child can wear in over a t-shirt as the suit is made with a soft mesh inside.
Whenever my husband goes back to Army, he cuts a little piece of his ghillie and makes a doll out of it. My daughter carries her little doll like it is something magical, putting a smile on my face. It is very cute how kids imagine things that are important to them; her little doll is called Ghillie even though she does not know what the ghillie suits are made for.
