Name of book - young girl dead in attic, locked their since war. Girl watches her in dollhouse and finds key?
I read this book as a young teenager and found it really spooky. A girl has a dollhouse and she can watch the previous occupants of her house inside the dollshouse. The family in the dollhouse lock their daughter in the attic. There is talk of the underground railroad and blackouts. Girl watching dollhouse one day realises that she heard the mother drop something and when she goes to look in her own kitchen finds a key. The key opens the attic in which she finds a dead girl (possibly preserved?) in a sort of tunnel?
Please help - I thought it may have been by KAthryn Reiss but I don't think that it is.
