What can I make with these ingredients?

Potato, butter, onion, cheese, scallion, noodles, rice, pasta, jar random pasta sauce, chicken, stock cube, chopped tomatoes in tin.

I just moved house and im a bit unsure what to cook. i have all the various powdered herbs and spices - cumin, ginger, oregano that type of thing. healthy if possible.

chicken parmigiana (not the fancy type, just plain and simple)

1. cook your pasta
2. taste your "random" pasta sauce. if you like it, marinate your chicken using a bit of the pasta sauce, scallions, cumin, oregano and (do you have garlic?) garlic.
3. chop your onions and grate some cheese
4. saute onions in butter (if you have olive oil it's better, but if you dont, butter is good), add in the chicken and saute until it's cooked. set aside
5. in the same pan, saute some onions again. add in the tomatoes and cook until very very tender. season with a bit of (hopefully you do have them) salt and pepper. add in your "random" pasta sauce and simmer for a few minutes. add your cooked chicken back in and let simmer. add in a bit of oregano (and basil if you have it too). season to taste.
6. serve with the pasta, topped with cheese.

and you still have some ingredients for tomorrow's dinner! : )
