Tips for a Happy Holiday
It's Christmas and its time to enjoy with your family and friends. You have lots of plans. There are so many relatives to visit, so many gifts to buy, so many ideas to re-decor your home and so many new recipes to try. Christmas is a time of happiness but it is also a taxing time of the year. You will see that the expectations of your family and friends seem to concentrate into this particular time of the year. Your business gets affected and so is your health. It's time for:
Overeating
Sugar and stress
Long travel
Irregular exercise
Family events
You can hardly get some time to look after yourself and relax in a peaceful ambiance. So what is the secret behind breaking through the chaos and enjoy the Christmas at the same time. What is the mantra for a happy holiday? Just check out the wellness guide to stay healthy and enjoy your holiday.
If you feel that your home is overcrowded with relatives and friends just break out of the place and ask a relative or friend to take a walk with you. This will bring two of you closer. You will get to know each other well. Walking is a good exercise. So this will also work as a good excuse to get some exercise.
Tell yourself that if you eat too much of the main course you won't be able to enjoy the dessert. You will skip the calories this way. Overeating is one of the enemies of your health. If you can eliminate this practice during festive season you can stay healthy.
People often ignore it but spending time with kids can be a lovely experience. Offer to take a few kids to the nearby park. Playing with them is also a great way of getting some exercise. You will help the parents to relax for a while. The best thing is that you will cherish the moments you have spend with little kids. It's very refreshing to be with the innocent kids.
Since this is the time to meet all your relatives and friends you can share your business plan with them and take their advice. You can also share some of your skills with a younger member of your family who is planning to develop a career in the same field. This will give you the opportunity to get some fresh ideas for your business.
Christmas is not only time to offer gifts to your family and friends but also to reward yourself for the good things you have done through out the year. Promise yourself that you will finish all the incomplete works in the coming year.
If you follow these simple tips you will not have to run to a wellness center to regain your health as soon as the festive season ends. You will rather stay healthy, enjoy your holiday and strengthen family bonding.

Why do a lot of retail stores say Happy Holidays and why do ppl who celebrate christmas angry?
about it? Like this is america the land of the free. Everybody has a right to their own religion and not everyone is Catholic/Christian. doesnt Happy holidays include christmas? Then why do people get mad? It really does not bother me. Why do people who celebrate christmas get mad?
What I meant was there are other holidays too like Hanukkah and kwanzaa. I didn't really mean like taking the religion out of christmas plus not alot of people go to church anyways and still celebrate christmas.
kakashi: christians confiscated the winter solstice and renamed it christmas. so turnabouts fair play.
Winter Solstice has been celebrated in cultures the world over for thousands of years. This start of the solar year is a celebration of Light and the rebirth of the Sun. In old Europe, it was known as Yule, from the Norse, Jul, meaning wheel.
Today, many people in Western-based cultures refer to this holiday as "Christmas." Yet a look into its origins of Christmas reveals its Pagan roots. Emperor Aurelian established December 25 as the birthday of the "Invincible Sun" in the third century as part of the Roman Winter Solstice celebrations. Shortly thereafter, in 273, the Christian church selected this day to represent the birthday of Jesus, and by 336, this Roman solar feast day was Christianized. January 6, celebrated as Epiphany in Christendom and linked with the visit of the Magi, was originally an Egyptian date for the Winter Solstice.
Most of the customs, lore, symbols, and rituals associated with "Christmas" actually are linked to Winter Solstice celebrations of ancient Pagan cultures. While Christian mythology is interwoven with contemporary observances of this holiday time, its Pagan nature is still strong and apparent. Pagans today can readily re-Paganize Christmastime and the secular New Year by giving a Pagan spiritual focus to existing holiday customs and by creating new traditions that draw on ancient ways.
Conservative Christians complain about secularists, atheists, and leftists trying to undermine Christmas, but there is little historical understanding and awareness in these complaints. An examination of Christian history indicates that religion has been slowly stripped from Christmas, as well as other Christian holidays, for a long time now - and by Christians themselves.
