Former Gay Pimp, player, turned Evangelist

Like Wanda Jo Taylor openly professes: if it had not been for the Lord on my side, when I was a gay stud, a pimp, a player, a dope dealer and on and on, it is hard to imagine where I would be today.Born into a Christian home, Wanda Jo was her mothers second and last child. Her mother named her after her Uncle Joe. Wanda Jo did not get the attention she desired from her family hence her urge to rebel and be in control began from an early age. She preferred playing with toy trains, cars, and G.I. Joes instead of the Barbie dolls her mother used to buy her. Although she had an older sister, Wanda Jo started developing affection for other girls as early as five years of age. 
Her parents underestimated her tomboyish ways. They believed it was something she would grow out of. Little did they know, their innocent little daughter imagined she was a boy hiding in the body of a little girl. 

Growing up, Wanda Jo attempted to cover what was lurking within her by having a boy in her life at all times. Her boyfriends back then were puppets that camouflaged the lifestyle she was closely guarding in the closet. She did not have intimacy with any of them. Her hunger was for the same sex and she started dating girls as early as Elementary school. Anytime her father saw her with a boy he would constantly say Wanda Jo, you better not get pregnant, you better not be messing with those boys.When she got older he used to tell her he would prefer her to be gay than get pregnant and have a child out of wedlock. Little did he know that the words he was casually speaking into his daughters life were helping to create a strong root that would keep her in bondage for forty seven years.

By the time Wanda Jo was a teenager she was openly gay. She wore mens clothing and dated very beautiful girls. According to her when I was in the world, my heart was full of deceit, and my eyes and heart were full of lust. I became a man in my mind, trapped in a womans body. I became a full- fledged stud. I was so addicted to women, I thought I would be lost forever. Turning out women was a game to me. I was trying to fill the emptiness inside by going from woman to woman having sex (a temporary fix). Most of the time, I was involved with two different women at the same time, cheating was natural to me. 

The passion was so hot, it was like a burning flame out of control; reaching the 97th floor. The fire department couldnt get to the fire fast enough to put out the fire. By me being so disobedient, Lucifer stole my mind and my thoughts. He had me on "lock down" in my mind for 47 years. I was thinking my body belonged to me; but in actuality, my body belonged to God. It's not about me; it's all about the Lord. I believe the devil thought he had me for life, but he underestimated the plan of God. 

By her late twenties, Wanda Jo was selling drugs and was a pimp. She was constantly in the clubs and made a lot of money living in such a lifestyle. Her taste for the fine things of life was huge. She drove luxury cars and lived in her own place. By this time, she had discovered her father who was a player like her, had many children outside (it was his best kept secret). Her half sister was a madam (she ran a brothel) and her half brother was a pimp like her. Looking back now she confidently summarizes it as a generational curse that was passed down from her father on to his children. Wanda Jo believes that certain family patterns should not be ignored but dealt with once noticed. 

“Working overtime for the devil†is the way Wanda Jo describes what she was doing back then. Even though she was deep in the gay world, she said she knew in her heart of hearts that it was wrong. She was sure if she died in the lifestyle, she would be on a first class ticket to hell. 

She goes on to explain that in “most gay relationships, the "love"; emotions are very strong between lovers. That's why it's HARD to break away from same-sex relationships; the love is so intense, it's a stronghold. If a gay woman or man wants to live for Jesus, and give up EVERYTHING, that's the person's choice. However, Satan had such a hold on me, he didn't want to let me go; he wanted me to stay addicted to the gay lifestyle; being a stud (living as a man); I used to be one of the devils best workers, with a mission of turning straight women into gay women. 

The turning point came for Wanda Jo when in 2003 one of her ex girlfriends found out she was cheating on her and stabbed her in the back with a knife. As Wanda Jo laid in the hospital bed thinking of how close she came to death, she began thinking of her life and what she was doing to herself and others. The conviction started but it did not stop her from doing what she had always done. After recovering from her wound, Wanda Jo met and turned out a 78 year old woman. Looking back today, she believes God put that woman in her life for a reason because the old woman told her that in the near future she was going to be a minister. Wanda Jo said she wondered if the woman was crazy and challenged by saying how can it be possible when she was a dope dealer and a pimp?

The last straw that broke the camels back was the day Wanda Jo tried to turn a very young girl out. She recalled that there was so much light on the face of the innocent looking girl; God spoke to Wanda warning her do not touch this baby.At that point she got up and went home, went to church and surrendered everything to God. The Lord asked her to stand still and surrender. She did. She then asked God for forgiveness. 

For another two years she kept coming to church, dressed like a man, although she had stopped being with other women. Her church people were praying for her. They accepted her like that and showered her with so much love. In 2007, she finally got rid of everything that had to do with a gay lifestyle and completely surrendered her whole being to Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Her previous boldness for the devil turned to boldness for preaching the word of God. 

Today, Wanda Jo is an evangelist in the Dallas, Texas area. God has commanded her to go back and minister to the gay community that she once belonged to. To date she has led twenty five gay women to Christ. She constantly thanks God that her parents did not turn their backs on her. Instead her mother continued to pray for her the entire thirty-plus years. Wanda Jo boldly tells people that God has cleansed her from the inside to the outside and today she is an example of an extreme makeover. 

She adds “I am telling my testimony; I'm not gay anymore, Jesus saved and delivered me! What He's done for me, He can do the same thing for you. I want to live my life for Jesus so that when I die I know I will go to heaven and be with Him rather than to die and go to hell. I heard His voice on May 27,2007 saying, "Remember not ye the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it…?†(Isaiah 43: 18-19). God delivered me through that scripture. I was lost; but now I'm found, I was dead, but now I'm alive. I was a sinner but now I'm a saint. My goal and ambition is to please my Heavenly Father, not man. I’m about my Father’s business now!!! I pray my testimony will give someone Hope. I have received my free salvation. I am living proof that God can change a life drastically; Without a shadow of doubt I know it was a Miracle !
