Fancy dress and choosing a Grease outfit
Grease is a classic film. Love it or hate it everyone has heard of it! Most of us have seen the film at least once. We can’t resist dancing a little to the beat whenever we hear Greased Lightening the song. When no-one is listening we sing along to the music blaring away in our car. Fifties fashion, drive-ins, boy gangs, toe tapping music and unforgettable John Travolta and Olivia Newton -John moments. We’ve danced to the music at weddings and if you have a chance to dress in Grease fancy dress then there is an excellent choice of outfits online. From Pink Ladies, Danny Zuko, T-Birds, Rizzo, a demure Sandy to the black, satin sexily clad Sandy we see in the final scenes. This is a great opportunity to dress up as your favourite character.
Fancy dress- Poodle Dress
In the 1950’s girls were wearing full skirts with petticoats. These were perfect for dancing to rock n roll music. Buy the Official, Grease Poodle fancy dress online and all the accessories to go with it. You get to wear a black off the shoulder top and a vivid red skirt edged with black poodles. Tie the red scarf round your neck and shop online for a red wig. Find a pair of red fifties style shoes with black buckles or bows and add a pair of black sunglasses. A pair of fifties earrings and you’ll look the part.
Fancy dress – Pink Lady Jacket
If you don’t fancy a full skirt or feel more like a rebellious Rizzo character then go for a Pink Ladies jacket and tight black pants. The jacket has ‘Pink Ladies’ written on the front and back of the jacket so everyone will instantly know who you are. Wear pink or black jewelled sunglasses and black stiletto shoes. A blonde wig and disco hat finish off the outfit.

Does anybody have any advice the stage play Grease?
I'm 15, girl, female, somewhat normal height, athletic build, red hair... bleh bleh blah...
I'm auditioning tomorrow and I've read the script, I have to sing Freddy my Love and I have to learn a dance to We go together, and cold read. Any advice? It's my first audition. What kind of clothes?

It sounds like you've got a minimal amount to be prepared for: look up Freddy My Love on YouTube so that you can get more comfortable with the song in case you're not already. Here are the lyrics: http://www.stlyrics.com/songs/g/grease8951/freddymylove302650.html.
The better you can get the song memorized, the more comfortable you're going to be singing it at an audition.
As far as clothing, wear something comfortable, but professional. Don't wear some skanky little top or something you should probably only wear around your house. I would pick black or grey bottoms and a colorful top. Wear something to stick out a little bit. Maybe some bright-colored earrings or a headband.
Do your best with the dance and do your best with the cold read. Those are things you can't prepare for. Just be confident and give it your all.
Take a breath and do it!
I've done the show before and as far as fun parts: all three of those are a blast. Rizzo and Marty are ones that are fantastic because they've got more personality than Sandy.
